After the longest short week of my life, all I can think about is reading my two new favorite books (just received Layered and Styled as early birthday presents!) and a big, delicious brunch. My intentions are to throw some veggies in the mix… but sometimes sprinkles just win me over.

These are the recipes I’m drooling over for the weekend, anyone have anything in mind for tomorrow morning?

Mango Sorbet by Bunny Baubles 6

Every time I go out for gelato I am torn between going chocolaty or fruity. When fruity wins out, my absolute favorite flavor to get is mango. Avocado Fries with Chipotle Aioli by Bunny Baubles 4

I’m back again with Degustabox this month, and y’all, this Sir Kensington’s chipotle mayonnaise sauce is like crack. I could put it on anything and love it. The perfect amount of spice in a creamy condiment lends really well as a spread or a dip. So when I saw a recipe for avocado fries on my Instagram friend, The Foodie Physician‘s, page I was totally inspired to pair the two together! Raspberry Cucumber Rosé Cocktail

Raspberry Cucumber Rose Cocktail by Bunny Baubles 5

August is the month in Houston where everyone either stays indoors permanently to avoid overall stickiness, or they accept the fact that their faces are going to melt off and drink a whole lot of ice cold wine and beer. I fall somewhere in the middle of these two groups. Continue reading “Raspberry Cucumber Rosé Cocktail”

Funeral Cake Recipe by Bunny Baubles 1

I know y’all are now used to my high quality, professional (esque) photos of food and clothing. Things weren’t always that way on Bunny Baubles, however, and I am still learning every day. I’m proud to share with y’all that I finally worked up the courage to work on using my DLSR camera in manual mode instead of automatic. It’s more fun than scary, as it turns out. Old Fashioned, Southern Red Velvet Cake

Southern Red Velvet Cake by Bunny Baubles 9

Nature is so amazing. 100% of the red color in this cake comes from beets! I wish I could tell you making this cake all natural made it healthy, but there’s an unnatural amount of butter and sugar to be consumed here. It’s cake, we accept it.
