Bunnies are Coming! – A Shopping Guide

Ok, so the Easter Bunny is not bringing me a real rabbit I am sad to say. What Easter has brought, however, is a ton of adorable, bunny-adorned house items in all of my favorite stores! I keep getting emails about the adorable plates, door mats, and rabbit figurines coming to stores soon, so I figured I would share my current obsessions with you.

If you’re bunny centered like I am, the best time to shop for these items is the week after Easter. All of the home decorations plastered with rabbits tend to go on super sale right around then…though I’m keen to use them all year long! Wait if you can, otherwise check these adorable chachkies out!

These beautiful dishes at William Sonoma are a fantastic addition to any Easter table. Can’t you see yourself sipping tea from that mug with the bunny peaking right out at you each morning!?

A welcome home from this cute little doormat from World Market would certainly put a smile on my face. And at $12.99, who could resist?

I’m certain you could think of something to serve off of this rabbit serving dish from Crate and Barrel… some raspberry topped lemon lime squares possibly?

You have an excuse to get frosting all over your face now that these fun bunny napkins have arrived at Crate and Barrel. Wipe and wash and marvel at the adorable print!

Listen, I know my bunny obsession is a little out of hand… but hear me out, these napkin rings from Pier 1 Imports have ears on them. Sounds perfect to me! (sorry about the magnitude of ear puns)

Tacky Christmas Skirt DIY Costume

Tacky Christmas Skirt by Bunny Baubles 2

Christmas always seems to sneak up on me down here in Houston. The hot weather and the craziness of yearly deadlines at work seems to distract me from the cheery season around me! Even my tree this year turned into a Christmas bush covered in little bows… a little pathetic, but also somehow super fun, don’t you think? Continue reading “Tacky Christmas Skirt DIY Costume”

10 Quick and Thoughtful DIY Gifts for Everyone on Your List

10 DIY Gifts for Everyone On Your List

Around the holidays there’s always that one person who really stumps you when it comes to gifts. They either have it all, or their Santa list consists of designer watches and imported French wines. Who has money for that craziness? Why not get a little crafty and make them something they can’t buy? Priceless!!

That’s why I’ve taken the liberty of composing a list of DIY gifts for everyone on your list. They’ll be impressed with your thoughtful nature, and you’ll be thrilled you still have money to buy that New Years Eve dress!

1. The Nature Lover – Bird Seed Cakes from House of Hawthornes

These little cakes make the perfect bird feeder that can be hung anywhere outside a window so your outdoorsy loving friend can watch the birds all Winter long from the comforts of their own home.

Alice in Wonderland Rabbit DIY Costume

IMG_4821

This Halloween, I knew I needed to get a head start. Last year it crept up on me and my costume was thrown together in a fury. The minion look turned out pretty adorably, yet it wasn’t super original, and it was more stressful of an experience than I’d hoped for. Continue reading “Alice in Wonderland Rabbit DIY Costume”

Candy Corn Rice Crispy Treats Recipe

Candy Corn Rice Crispy's by Bunny Baubles 4

I’m a huge rice crispy treat fan. They’re incredibly quick to make and you only need a few ingredients that seem to never go bad, so you can always have them all on hand! They also lend themselves well to being creatively changed and molded. Since I’m having a pretty large group of friends over for a Halloween soiree, I decided to get a little crazy with the treats. Candy corn crazy. Continue reading “Candy Corn Rice Crispy Treats Recipe”

An Elevated Tea Party: Amped Up Finger Sandwiches and Boozy Tea

Amped Up Tea Sandwiches by Bunny Baubles

I’d been dying to throw a tea party. The last one I planned had 2 stuffed dogs, a teddy bear, and an American Girl Doll in attendance. There was the tiniest of tea sets filled with water, and those chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry wafer cookies on the menu. It was a spectacular event. DIY Magic Pom Poms

Magic Pom Poms from Bunny Baubles.JPG

So these amazing pom pom balls were the center point to the decor at my Birthday Tea Party. I needed something fun and whimsical to match the youthful tea party theme, but also beautiful and elegant because….well it was technically an adult tea party after all. And I like pretty things. Surprised? I loved the idea of paper lanterns or beautiful flower arrangements, but I had already spent so much on food and booze (to come soon) that I didn’t really want to shell out a lot more on decor. Inspiration hit at the craft store and I picked up some tissue paper and string. Continue reading “DIY Magic Pom Poms”

Birthday Sneak Peek! Tea Parties and Magic Pom Poms

You’d think I was turning a whole 4 years old today if you purely read the title of today’s blog post. Sadly, no. I am turning 24… what in the world? Although being 24 sounds really old to me, it adds up. I’ve been working in the real world for over a year now and feel somewhere in between being incredibly confident and totally useless every other day. My team seems to have adopted me and my work habits happily so far…might be the sprinkling of baked goods every so often, but I guess we’ll never know… While feeling so adult, there are so many moments that bring me back to how young being a twenty-something is. Example: Movies watched this weekend while party planning included Mulan, School of Rock, and Robin Hood.

I’ve also been blogging every week for 9 months now!! It’s been a serious privilege to have such supportive friends, family, and readers along the way, and it’s the best gift I could receive going into my 24th year. I live, eat, breath, and love this blog with all of my heart. Or sometimes with just my stomach.

I came to terms with being in my “mid-twenties” by hosting a frivolous tea party. Since it was my birthday, I decided to really go for it and plan a party I wanted to attend! This included adorable decorations, tons of food, tea, alcohol, and the best of friends. The only thing possibly missing was a yard full of bunnies… *sigh*

Birthday Tea Party Kitchen

Although I’d love to share all of the makings of this party with you today, it’s my birthday…so I’m taking the day off! Here’s a sneak peek of all of the projects to come, along with my beautiful friends’ faces and a few other random shots. I’ll link the posts as they come in the next few weeks!
