The Best of Bunny Baubles February 2017
February is over ALREADY?? I know it’s 2-3 days shorter than the other months, but it really went by faster than I could keep up. I had planned to make a king cake recipe for Mardi Gras and do some more home decor posts per your requests in my reader survey, but alas, life got in the way. Not to worry, it was all fun and games!
I actually ended up going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans to visit friends on a whim – Kyle and I were exhausted from the trip but had such a great time. We also celebrated his birthday, Valentine’s Day, and went to see Yo Yo Ma perform with the Houston symphony, so really we got to spend a lot of quality time together. It’s hard for us to say no to spending time with friends sometimes and just get time alone, but this month really allowed us to take time for our relationship which we both think is really important.
Speaking of friends, we had THREE couples of friends get engaged this month! I am beyond excited for each and every one of them. I’ve known them all since the beginning of their relationships and cannot wait to celebrate their love for each other in the coming year! I hope you’re good with wedding/engagement/bridal ideas because I’ve added a category underneath the party and holiday tab that I know will be getting a lot of traffic!
Enough about February, what are we going to be seeing in March?
- Beauty and the Beast is coming out and I have a sewing tutorial that is going to be a dream.
- Like I said before, I’m going to be working on some engagement gifts, so be sure to keep your eye out for more diamond themed everything!
- I may or may not be making my own wine… !!!
- I may try my hand at making my own candles. This has been on my DIY wish list for years and I think I’m finally going to just DO IT.
Did you miss any February posts? March is here and I’d hate to see you miss anything!

DIY Pink Diamond Chocolates
Legitimately everywhere I turn there is another engagement. Friends from my childhood, friends I just met in the past year, heck, people at restaurants where I’m eating – it is the season of wedding engagements and DIAMONDS!
DIY Faux Fur Jacket Sewing Tutorial
This Winter has been the season of FUR! I’ve seen so many amazing fur coats, especially on my trip to London, and was totally inspired to pick one up. Not surprisingly, a fur jacket is not a cheap item to purchase, most of them starting around $75 – 100. Could I make one? I wasn’t really confident, to be honest.
How to Organize a Small Space
For those of you who live in a small space like I do, you know that keeping things organized can be a challenge. Between collecting clothes and adding to my ever growing craft supply, my things started to consume me. I had items stuffed under my bed, shoved into my closet (and the laundry closet… and the coat closet…), and lying all over my desk. It was driving me crazy, and I knew it was time for a change.
(Almost) Dairy Free, Dark Chocolate Whiskey Truffles
If you know Kyle (my boyfriend), you know he loves whiskey. Every time we stop into the liquor store to simply pick up a bottle of wine for dinner or a six pack for a party, he side-shuffles me into the whiskey aisle and spends a good 15 minutes perusing the shelves. He loves it, so I don’t bother to be bothered.

DIY Junk Food Valentines
Being on Instagram all the time can seem like an anti-social way of living to someone who just scrolls their feed and likes a few photos here and there. But as a blogger, it’s my job to interact with people online. And do you know what? I’ve actually made some great friends who love the same things that I do!
