The Mongoose v. Cobra PB + B Recipe

Mongoose vs Cobra PB+B photo

One of my favorite bars in Houston is  Mongoose vs. Cobra. The small warehouse-esque building shows off it’s original exposed brick walls, complemented by warm wooden tables for resting a hand crafted cocktail on. They have amazing drinks, my favorite being Gold Rush #2 (not sure what happened to #1), and quite the spread of food being served until 1 AM! The food, oh the food… They are famous for their giant (face sized) pretzel which comes with house mustard and pickled everything. But what my friends and I have newly discovered is the PB + B. This was my first experience with the beautiful concoction: pure joy. Continue reading “The Mongoose v. Cobra PB + B Recipe”

Fancy a Gin Bucket Recipe Ole Chap?

Gin Bucket

A couple Saturdays back we hosted a party for my good friend Krystal’s birthday and going away to London for a year (jealous!!!) celebration! In true girly fashion, we decided it needed to be themed. Who would pass up the opportunity to speak in British accents and drink gin all night?! Continue reading “Fancy a Gin Bucket Recipe Ole Chap?”

Crop Top Chop DIY Sewing Tutorial

Crop Top Chop - Finished shirt

A trend I’m really embracing at the moment is crop tops with high waisted skirts. If it gives me yet another way to sport a maxi, AKA blanket-sweatpants disguised as a fancy ensemble, I’m totally on board. Continue reading “Crop Top Chop DIY Sewing Tutorial”

Lamp Revamp

Lamp Revamp - Lamp with ombre green dots

By popular demand I was asked to write a post on home decor this week! It just so happens that I’d been meaning to do something about the sad lampshade I had on my desk. Over years of moving it into and out of storage during college, some odd stains and dents had really distressed the shade, and not in that cute way people are always looking for. I could have just bought a new one, but I really wanted to find a way to reuse the one I already had. Continue reading “Lamp Revamp”

Oreo Reese’s Recipe: This is Happening

The two things I try to never keep around the house are Oreo cookies and Reese’s Peanut butter Cups. The speed at which I can scarf either of them down is comparable to a college frat boy chugging beer. Either delight really kills the effect of any sort of workout regimen I try to keep.

That being said, sometimes I break my own rules. Especially when it comes to putting the two of these heavenly treats together into one angelic dessert. I have creatively named these godly desserts Oreo Reese’s. I don’t want to brag and say that they’re amazing. But I wouldn’t want to lie to you either.

The basic idea is to take an Oreo cookie, fill it with Reese’s Peanut butter Cup filling (from my Homemade Reese’s Bars post!), and dip the cookies in white chocolate.

Tipsy Texan Blood Orange Margaritas Recipe

Blood Orange Margaritas from Bunny Baubles 2

This past weekend was absolutely incredible. With the arrival of homecoming weekend at my alma mater, so came the arrival of all of my long lost soulmates! Such excitement called for cocktails, and anyone who knows us knows we love margaritas. Blood orange ones to be exact. But one of our favorite happy hour joints took them off the menu! Bunny Baubles DIY headband

Summer is coming folks, I can feel it. Or at least I’m being really gung-ho about the idea of summer coming. Either way, it’s almost time to pull out some hippie headbands for music festivals, trips to the beach, and leisurely bike rides! Continue reading “Hippie Headbands DIY”

Homemade Reese’s Bars Recipe

Homemade Reese's title 2

During a hard time for my family, we said goodbye to my amazing and wonderful grandmother. She was always the most adventurous woman with more self-control than I can ever imagine having. While she held an incredibly slim figure, there was never an absence of sweets at her house. One of my favorite treats she used to make me were her homemade Reese’s bars. She really perfected the texture of the peanut butter to taste just like a Reese’s candy, and the recipe is quick and simple to make! It’s also no bake! Continue reading “Homemade Reese’s Bars Recipe”
