Happy New Years, bunnies! I’m not big on New Years resolutions per say, but I am big on New Years cleaning and purging of junk. I love getting rid of things because it makes room for new, beautiful projects! Continue reading “Trendy Home Decor: DIY Geometric Gold Painted Tray”

Modern Gilded Mirror DIY
Megan and I moved last week! Although moving is tremendously painful for us to have just relocated upstairs in our building, we gained an incredible view of downtown Houston and lowered our rent. We’re quite please with our new place. Moving is also a great thing to do, in my opinion, because you really clear out the stuff you don’t really need. I was able to finally raid my closet of old clothes from high school and things that never got unpacked from my first move. It also inspired a redecoration movement… a cheap DIY one at that! Lamp Revamp
By popular demand I was asked to write a post on home decor this week! It just so happens that I’d been meaning to do something about the sad lampshade I had on my desk. Over years of moving it into and out of storage during college, some odd stains and dents had really distressed the shade, and not in that cute way people are always looking for. Herringbone Brick Patterned Art DIY

Buying a huge canvas on a whim at a craft store was something I had always wanted to do. So I did it!… and then I had no idea what to paint. I found this great painting that looked so amazing and it was listed as a DIY, but it turned out to be something you could purchase and there were no instructions for creating it. Booooo! Jewelry On Display
My bulletin board was something of a travesty, holding a couple of ticket stubs and a coupon to get my oil changed. My necklaces were also quite the mess. Shoved into an organizer 3 per compartment, they didn’t stay as arranged as one would hope… Continue reading “Jewelry On Display”
Kitchen Pun Fun
I love a good pun, especially in the kitchen! I was stumbling around Pinterest on a rainy afternoon and found these adorable printouts! They were posted on another blog called Over the Big Moon. Continue reading “Kitchen Pun Fun”
DIY Curtains Sewing Tutorial
Apartment living can be drab at times. Because you can’t paint your walls and you have very little space, the easiest way to add color to a bedroom is with a fun set of sheets or curtains. Megan was having a rough time finding curtains she loved…and I thought, why couldn’t I make some? Fabric stores have so many more choices in color and pattern to choose from, and most times are much cheaper. Who doesn’t love that? Continue reading “DIY Curtains Sewing Tutorial”
